I do this with sausage meat, mince, homemade hamburger meat
as I can make it sandwich size and I can just break off a piece or two when needed. It also make storage in the
freezer very easy. as it lays flat and of course this works well for
BBQ's and saves cooking time as the meat is already flattened, portioned
and ready to go
When using this system for homemade hamburgers, make your mixture up in a bowl then put it into a bag, flatten the mixture out with a bottle or rolling pin, I use the back of a knife or a ruler to press the meat into into portions sizes but you can use anything as long as you don't cut the plastic
There is no waste and you do cut cooking time down.
