Natural Face Cleaner

The easiest way to remove oil form your pores is to mix baking soda and water into a paste and use as a face mask leaving it on for 15 minutes.
This is not only inexpensive it is chemical free and it works.

Dryer Balls DIY

Dryer balls for lovelier laundry cheap natural and works so well

Drop 15 to 20 drops of Lavender essential oil onto the foot section of {one} sock. Ahhhhhh...just imagine how your fresh, clean laundry's going to smell!

Now tuck scented sock up inside the tube section of the same sock. Push this balled up sock down into the toe of the second sock. Twist the second sock to add a little bulk to the Dry Ball...then pull the opening of the sock down onto itself until you have a tight ball. The tighter the better because in addition to scenting your laundry, the Dryer Ball will fluff the load of laundry too!

* Two Dryer Balls would be absolutely brilliant for fluffing and freshening pillows in the dryer *

DIY Fabric Softener

ne of the good things about fabric softener is that our clothes not only smell great they feel great.
The really bad thing about fabric softener is made with Formaldehyde which is associated with Cancer Risk and with it being on your clothing also seeps into your pores and is of course not good for you.

Here is a wonderful natural fabric softener that is cheap to make it is not harmful and it is good for the planet.

one bottle of white vinegar
add 25 drops lavender essential (or any oil you prefer)
1 teaspoon of rubbing alcohol for emulsion (I use Isocol as I always have it in the cupboard)

mix together and add half a cup to your rinse cycle

Single serve DESIGNER ICECREAM

We all have dinner parties or visitors and we often wish we had something cute and easy  to serve for dessert and more so something that is creative and has great presentation so how about this.

cool icecream excuse the pun lol

here is an idea for those of who don't have enough to do in our day already ROFL

buy icecream (the cheaper the better) and let it melt a little then put into a shallow tray and freeze it. I will often add grated chocolate or broken up biscuits which I mix through ( what ever sweet biscuits are on sale) or tim tams and some times lollies then once it is frozen use a cookie cutter to cut out perfect and cute size portions, leave in freezer until needed for that special dinner.

no waste and everyone loves it and it makes you look very clever.

If you use a round cutter or a poached egg ring you can cut perfect round serves of ice cream which fit wonderfully between two biscuits making the best ice-cream pie and yes these can also be frozen.

Indestructible Car Tissues

Dont we all hate tissue boxes that get crushed in the car  and if you are like me you put the box under the front seat so it doesnt get crushed which of course also means it doesn't get used lol

This is a great solution and is cheap to make.
How clever is the woman who came up with this idea

Buy a plastic container that will fit your favourite size tissue box

Of course you need your box of tissues

Mark the top of the plastic container where the opening will be then carefully cut the section out

and presto you have an almost indestructible tissue box

Garlic Honey

I use garlic a lot in my cooking and I also eat garlic and honey when I am not feeling well but of course the smell of garlic can be over powering lol Soooooooo  if you marinate garlic in honey the clove will no long smell on your breath when you eat it

YOU will need

Garlic cloves pealed
honey (any kind)

make sure you use a clean jar.

1. Fill jar with garlic cloves
2. Top up with honey and make sure you take your time as it takes a while for the honey to get around all the garlic.
3. Put lid on jar. (and decorate) lol

You need to leave the mix stand for no less than 2 week before you use the garlic honey although it will last for months and months.

I often add fresh rosemary sprigs to the mix as well when I am making it as it makes a great base when marinating meat AND if you take a couple of table spoons of the mix add some apple cider vinegar or vinegar of your choice and you will have the most amazing healthy salad dressing

let me know what you think.

Salad and Dressing

I like to pack a lunch and go out for the day with my dogs and I like the freshness of salad when I have been driving.
I dont like limp or wet salad which happens when you leave salad with dressing for a few hours before you eat it sooooo

I put my salad dressing into its own little bottle and add it to the salad when I am ready to eat. I will also freeze my dressing and put the frozen bottle in with the salad so it keeps my salad fresh, crisp and cold and the dressing has melted by the time I want to eat. This is also good for kids lunches.
I also use these little bottles for sauces if I decide to buy takeaway when traveling and soapy water so I can wash my hands on the side of the road lol
I buy these little bottles from the cheap shop and they are the ones now used for people traveling on planes who want to carry on liquids. They usually come in packs of four or six bottles and I use the pump bottle for rose water which I spray on my face when I am tired or hot and I carry a pump pack with a disinfectant and water mix for those oops moments lol and they are so small you can pop them in your bag or pockets as well

Baby Carrots

It may shock you that baby carrots do not come out of the ground that way. There is no little baby carrot garden lol.
These carrots are the result of taking all the broken and ugly big carrots, grinding them all up, processing them into the baby carrots then giving them a bath in chlorine to give them a bright happy orange colour.
These carrots are killing you., they do not save you time and they do not save you money

Drinking Bi carb of Soda

Drinking baking soda, or bicarbonate powder, dissolved in water is a folk remedy that has been used for many generations to alleviate the symptoms of indigestion, heartburn, infections and arthritis, among other problems. Baking soda is an alkaline compound that reduces acidity in the body. The typical American diet is highly acidic, which allows many diseases and conditions to develop and flourish. Baking soda, taken in moderate amounts and at appropriate times, promotes healthy biochemistry.
